The Heart

This week we had to do a Report ether on the Heart,Eyes or the Pancreas and we have to do it with a partner and my partner was Mackenzie and we did the heart to star off with and we finished that now and we are finishing off the eyes.It was tricky to find out about what affects the heart but we got there in the end.

The heart is located in your chest area and is protected by the rib cage and is next to your lungs.The heart is a muscular organ in humans and other animals, which pumps blood through the blood vessels of the circulatory system.Blood provides the body with oxygen and nutrients.Every minute, your heart pumps about five quarts of blood through a system of your blood vessels that's over 60,000 miles long.That translates to about 2,000 gallons of blood every day,

Plaque builds up on the sides of the artery the wall and hardens which can get into your blood and flow through your blood into your organs liver and more. Smoking can cause heart diseases.Heart attacks is a pain in your chest that is caused by

Your coronary arteries becomes blocked.Heart attacks if affects known as artery disease.You can die from heart attack,Because the heart muscle might be damaged and get no oxygen and can no longer pump any blood through your body and then you may die.Men and women don't always have the same experience of  heart attacks men might have dizziness,shortness of breath,Nausea and women might have nausea,vomiting and more.

Heart failure

Heart failure does not mean that your heart has stopped working.Heart failure is a serious condition heart failure when your heart struggle to pump blood around your body. You can control heart failure. A healthy heart can pump blood to all part of the body.The parts of your heart may not respond the same as a healthy heart and they parts may become stiffer and thicker and your heart muscles becomes weaker, heart failure is caused by many conditions that have damaged the heart.

The heart is very important because if you don't have one then your couldn't survive.

Calculating Speed and time

This morning we did a mathsbuddy activity and it was called Calculating Speed and what you have do is there will be a question here is a example. Distance traveled 210km time traveled 7hrs so now you have to take one 0 of the 21 so make it 21 then divide 40 by 7 then it will equal 3 then add the 0 back onto the 3 and it will be 30.

Anzac Biscuits

This week Totara 2 and 3 made Anzac biscuits for topic.We had to get into teams of four and my team was Ella,Mya,Mackenzie and me.We had trouble with making the biscuits because we didn't read the instructions right and we didn't melt the butter but we got there in the end and they turned out really nice.Here is a link for the recipe Food in a minute                                                              

Animals at War

Anzac Day is coming up so we are doing a topic on Anzac. We have been given a list of things to do and my 1st one is animals at war. There are questions to find out about and write a little bit about it. Here is Mine!

Art!

This term we have been doing art and this is my 2nd piece. We could draw anything and have a bubble come in from a part of it. This is where we have to blend our pastels and this is mine so far.
